5/10/07 - Concept Communications Expands Client Roster
Concept Communications, a San Diego-based provider of health and medical information for healthcare organizations, has signed multi-year agreements with two new clients, Hanover Hospital in Pennsylvania and Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Florida. Lakeland is the fourth largest hospital in the state of Florida. Hanover Hospital is part of Hanover HealthCare Plus. Each hospital will be using Concept Communications' library of health and wellness topics, available in both English and Spanish, as well as interactive tools including quizzes, calculators and risk assessments.
4/30/09 - Firelands Regional Medical Center adds new online feature
Firelands Regional Medical Center announces the addition of an online health library to its website, with content provided by Concept Communications. Firelands is a 400-plus-bed hospital, serving a five-county region in Ohio. The library provides a wealth of information on a variety of health and wellness topics. There are sections for women's health, cancer information, heart information and children's health. Seniors will find a special section with topics on senior health. Sections devoted to workplace health and emergency situations are also included.
In addition, there are a variety of interactive features available through the library. You can calculate your body mass index, or your due date. You can also try some of our online health quizzes, to test your knowledge on topics such as stroke and diabetes. The library also includes glossaries of common medical terms and procedures. Health forms are also included, to help families keep track of medications and their family health history. You can search for topics, using the A-Z lists, which are available in both English and Spanish.
2/6/09 - St Joseph's Unveils New Website with Concept Communications Library
St. Joseph's Hospital, a regional healthcare facility serving the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, has unveiled a new website, incorporating Internet health content licensed from Concept Communications Media Group LLC. Concept Communications has provided content for St. Joseph's since 2002, with an expansive library of disease and wellness topics, as well as news and interactive features. The hospital's new template provides more direct access to different areas of the health library.

1/30/09 - Concept Communications Expands Client Roster
Concept Communications has expanded its list of clients, adding Cary Medical Center in Maine, Trinity Health System in Ohio and Good Samaritan Hospital in Indiana to the growing number of healthcare organizations using its content. Cary Medical Center has been listed in the top 2 percent of hospitals in the United States for health information and patient safety technology. Trinity Health System is the most comprehensive health service in Eastern Ohio. Good Samaritan is a regional referral center in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois.

11/8/08 - Civista Health Contracts with Concept Communications Content
Civista Health System, a regional, not-for-profit, integrated health system serving southern Maryland, has contracted with Concept Communications for an online library of health topics, news and interactive features. According to President/CEO Christine Stefanides, "We've worked very hard to include the kind of information our community needs to take charge of their own health... 10/17/08 - Hunt Regional Healthcare Integrates Concept Communications Content
Hunt Regional Healthcare in northern Texas has redesigned its website, and expanded the integration of its services with its library of health topics from Concept Communications Media Group LLC, San Diego. The library has health news, medical topics, glossaries, and interactive features, all integrated with the health system's services pages. Hunt Regional Healthcare is comprised of hospitals, clinics, EMS and home health care organizations in Greenville and Commerce Texas.
7/10/08 - Redesign Features Concept Communications Health Content
St. Francis Medical Center, a New Jersey teaching hospital and member of Catholic Health East, has incorporated a library of health content from Concept Communications into its newly re-designed website. The library will provide St. Francis consumers with information in English and Spanish. They will also have access to health calculators, health assessments, health quizzes and other tools.

4/14/08 - Concept Communications Expands Client Roster
Shannon Health, an integrated delivery system in San Angelo Texas, has changed its online health library to use Concept Communications as its health content provider. Shannon Health is comprised of Shannon Medical Center, ShannonClinic, and Legacy Health Plan and Management Services, Inc.
Concept Communications has also been selected as the health library provider for Tombigbee Healthcare Authority in Alabama. Tombigbee Healthcare Authority is a total healthcare delivery system, providing hospital, ambulance, home health and outpatient services.
1/4/08 - New York City Health System Chooses Concept Communications
MediSys Health Network, an integrated healthcare system serving New York City's two most populous boroughs, has chosen Concept Communications as the online health content provider for its entities.
MediSys operates three hospitals in Queens and Brooklyn - Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Flushing Hospital Medical Center, and The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center - as well as specialized centers for brain injury, psychotherapy, rehabilitation and a network of family health care clinics and home health agencies.

11/6/07 - Union Hospital Redesign Uses Concept Communications Content
Union Hospital, a subsidiary of Affinity Health Alliance in Maryland, has incorporated online health content from Concept Communications into its newly re-designed website.
The re-design makes it even easier for Union's healthcare consumers to have access to current health news, as well as an expansive array of medical information in English and Spanish, featuring disease and wellness topics, diet and exercise, children's, women's and seniors' health, plus mental health and workplace health concerns.

10/23/07 - Concept Communications Helps Sponsor Annual Benefit Race
Concept Communications is again a sponsor of the annual Thanksgiving 5K, benefiting two of San Diego's leading charities, Father Joe's Villages and St. Vincent de Paul Village. Proceeds from the race help the organizations provide more than 1.5 million meals annually to those in need in the San Diego area. This is the third year that Concept Communications has been an event sponsor.

10/11/07 - CVPH Medical Center and Concept Communications Unveil New Site
CVPH Medical Center, a 356 bed acute care hospital in upstate New York, and Concept Communications Media Group LLC, San Diego, have unveiled a newly designed website. The design includes more prominent usage of Concept Communications' health content, including disease and wellness topics, health news and interactive features.
"I have heard nothing but compliments from people who have visited and checked out the material," said Mike Hildebran, CVPH Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Hildebran calls the content "seamless, thorough and very user friendly."

6/01/07 - Catholic Health System Extends Content Agreement with Concept Communications
Catholic Health System, a healthcare ministry that stretches across Western New York, has expanded its Internet content licensing agreement with Concept Communications Media Group LLC, San Diego. Under terms of the agreement, Concept Communications will continue to provide health content for the CHS web page for an additional three year term. Concept Communications has provided content for the CHS website since 2001. The content includes weekly news, as well as feature articles in both English and Spanish covering disease and wellness topics, children's, women's, seniors, and workplace health, in addition to glossaries, interactive features, health quizzes that are cross-referenced to the library, and calculators for body mass index, target heart rate, calorie counts and other measurements.

4/7/07 - BJC HealthCare Signs Multi-year agreement with Concept Communications
BJC HealthCare - one of the largest nonprofit health-care organizations in the United States - has signed a multi-year agreement with Concept Communications to license health content for its facilities. Under the agreement, Concept Communications will provide content for the BJC Healthcare corporate site, as well as twelve of its facilities located in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions.

2/10/07 - Concept Communications Expands Client Roster
Concept Communications, a San Diego-based provider of health and medical information for healthcare organizations, has signed a multi-year agreement with the San Benito Healthcare District, California, to provide health content for its website. The agreement coincides with a broader healthcare district web initiative to revamp and expand its online consumer offerings. The San Benito Health Care District includes Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, as well as nursing facilities, clinics and other facilities.
12/14/06 - Hancock Regional Hospital Adds New Health Library
Hancock Regional Hospital has added a new online health library to its Web site. The consumer health library is being provided by Concept Communications, of San Diego CA. It includes medical information and news, disease and wellness topics, and interactive features such as quizzes and calculators. Areas of consumer interest include diet and exercise, children's, women's and seniors' health, plus mental health and workplace health concerns.

11/21/06 - Midland Memorial Provides Online Health Feature
Midland Memorial Hospital has added an online health library to its Web site, offering health headlines, glossaries, quizzes and health history forms, among other consumer content. The site also includes an A-Z of health topics, women's health, heart and cancer information, and a place to learn about surgical procedures. The consumer health content is being provided by San Diego, Calif.-based Concept Communications.
"Consumers now are more savvy and have more access to information than ever before. Leading the pack of that information is education," says Midland Memorial's Director of Planning and Development Prentice Bryant, adding that this content is step toward the hospital continuing to offer more new and innovative services.
Midland Memorial Manager of Public and Media Relations Marcy Madrid said the site is not a replacement for a physician, but is meant to provide supplemental information, as well as prompt questions patients might want to ask their doctor.
9/14/06 - Rhode Island System Adds Concept Communications Content
South County Hospital Healthcare System (SCHHS), will now be providing its consumers with a library of health news and information from Concept Communications. The library includes an A-Z encyclopedia of health topics, plus health news and interactive features.

6/19/06 - Sacred Heart Adds Concept Communications Content
Sacred Heart Health System, an integrated delivery system serving the northwest Florida region, has redesigned its web site with a new online health library designed to give consumers an easy way to get the latest medical information. The library offers current health news headlines from Concept Communications, along with informative and easy-to-understand health topics, as well as interactive tools such as quizzes and calculators.
According to recent statistics, eight in 10 Internet users have searched online for health information. That translates to about 95 million American adults age 18 and older.

Hammond Henry Hospital and Holy Spirit Health System have all licensed Concept Communications' comprehensive library of health topics and news for their respective websites.

9/26/05 - Trover Foundation Website Wins Award
For the second year, Concept Communications' client Trover Foundation has won a World Wide Web Health Care Award. The Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information, judged over 200 entries based on accuracy, success in reaching target audience and over-all quality.
"The Trover website makes full use of our content, by integrating the library topics with Trover specialties and departments," said Concept Communications' Vice President Paul Daffinee.
Trover Foundation has been a Concept Communications' client since 2001.
